Welcome
The Artist & The Practice
As you continue into Color Stories, I’d like to share more about who I am and the practice that shapes everything I create.
The Artist
I’m Christy Cattin, and I create meditative paintings that are more than visual works — they are invitations to pause, connect, and restore.
Each of my paintings begins as a meditation. Through intentional color washes, breathwork, and affirmations, I create pieces that invite you to explore your own color imprint: the unique spectrum of colors that can help you regulate, heal, and naturally release trauma imprinting, supporting the restoration and strengthening of the nervous system.
My own healing journey led me here. Through Holographic Memory Resolution® (HMR®), a trauma-informed practice where we access memory while staying fully present and safe, I discovered the power of color as a tool for emotional regulation. Color became not just something I painted with, but something I could breathe with, embody, and use to reset my nervous system. Becoming a certified HMR® practitioner deepened this path, and now I bring that integration of color and healing into every canvas.
The Practice
This is why I created The Color Imprint. It’s the practice that extends my paintings into daily life — through color breathing, guided meditations, and restorative activities. Each experience is designed to help you explore color as emotional support, fostering qualities such as safety, grounding, creativity, courage, and renewal.
Every painting exists in two worlds:
-
As Color — to live with visually in your home, clinic, or wellness space.
-
As Practice — to engage with through guided breathwork, meditation, and visualization.
Together
When art and practice meet, the gallery transforms into more than a collection of paintings — it becomes a place of restoration.
My hope is that each painting offers you not only beauty, but also a practice: something you can breathe with, lean on, and carry into your daily rhythms. Over time, you may discover your own color imprint — the personal spectrum of colors that guides you toward balance, resilience, and healing.
All Love,
Christy Cattin
